Our Story
Ace Interviews Australia was founded in 2020 by Sarah McKenzie and James O'Connell, two passionate career coaches who recognised a significant gap in the market for high-quality, tailored interview preparation services. Both Sarah and James had extensive experience in recruitment and career development, and they observed that many talented candidates were missing out on job opportunities simply because they lacked the necessary interview skills.
Driven by a desire to make a difference, Sarah and James set out to create a company that would provide job seekers with the tools and strategies they needed to confidently navigate the interview process. They started by offering one-on-one coaching sessions, drawing on their own expertise and industry insights. As demand grew, they expanded their services to include group workshops and online courses, reaching a wider audience of job seekers across Australia.

Co-founder & Lead Career Coach
Sarah brings over 10 years of experience in recruitment and career coaching to Ace Interviews Australia. Her expertise lies in helping individuals identify their strengths, craft compelling narratives, and confidently present themselves in interview settings. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources.
James O'Connell
Co-founder & Head of Strategy
James is a seasoned strategist with a passion for helping people achieve their career goals. He is responsible for developing and implementing Ace Interviews Australia's overall strategy, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the interview preparation industry. James holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
